Hi, I'm Jessica aka Watch Kitty Shrink on YouTube. I am 29 years old. I have never been "skinny" but started steadily gained weight at 19. Before my 20th birthday I was over 200 pounds and by 21 I was over 250 pounds.
I did fad diets for years, but never could stick to them and each year I was only ever up more weight. I'd lose 10 pounds and gain 15. My doctor told me it was time to start thinking about doing something major to lose the weight because my family medical history is riddled with diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart issues. I was on the borderline for them all.

So at 28, I made the choice to have weight loss surgery. I chose the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. My surgery was on August 23rd 2016 I was terrified as this would be my first operation, EVER! I am so glad I decided to do it.
I've lost a total of 133 pounds, went from a size 24 dress to a size 8, from 2x shirts to a small, and gained so much life that I didn't know I was missing out on. I can do so many more things now that I was always afraid to do before when I was heavy.

I am no longer on the borderline for ANY health issues-and for the first time in my entire life, I have confidence in myself.

You look awesome! I had the Roux en Y procedure on 7/21/17. I’ve lost 55 pounds to date.

My daughter who is 29 is thinking of having surgery—possibly the sleeve.

What mad you pick the SLEEVE vs. RNY??

Would love to know your thoughts!!
