Weight Loss Transformation Story
Surgery type: RNY/Gastric Bypass -  Future Revision To DS
Surgery date: August 2013
Pre-surgery weight: 523
Current weight: 300

I am 38 year old Military Wife, I started off at 523+ pounds today I weigh slightly over 300 pounds. I use my Youtube Channel to be a weight loss surgery and mental health advocate.

I have suffered with my weight and mental health issues all my life. It wasn't until 2012 that my journey really began, after being in a wheelchair for 12 years we were told I was dying. So my husband went into the military to get me the best insurance he could to save my life.

I have done so much since my gastric bypass August 2013. My journey has had many ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade a moment of it for the world. I am far from done, so in order to continue losing weight I am working on getting a revision from RNY-DS sometime this year.

I hope and pray that sharing my journey will help others to see it is never too late and to NEVER give up!

Never have I come across a more inspirational story. From the lowest depths of health to a vibrant young lady with a mission to inspire others, Nirvana is a great teacher and leader for those venturing into bariatric surgery. She preaches that each individual should strive to care for themselves and be the best person they can be. Nutrition is a vital part of preparing for surgery, the healing process, and the rest of your life to prep you for the best possible success. Thank you for sharing your story, although sometimes not perfect, with possible ups and downs, you help prepare individuals for the road ahead in a truthful and personal manner. I wish you the best, and thank you for reminding us that we are not alone. Thousands have come before us, but only a few stayed behind to help the ones that struggle.
